Although ICANN has various programs aimed at increasing the participation of developing countries in its activities, the ICANN community is yet to have a comprehensive review of, and dialog on the role of developing countries in the organization. For this reason, an ICANN Summit on Developing Countries (ISDC) is being planned to be held during the Oct. 2011 ICANN 42 meeting in Dakar, Senegal. Toward this end, a preparatory meeting will be held in Singapore to bring together stakeholders from the ICANN community to discuss details about the ISDC. Among these details are:
