Paul D. McGrady, Jr. is a partner in Winston & Strawn’s Chicago office and chair of the firm’s trademark, domain names, and brand enforcement practice.  Paul is the author of McGrady on Domain Names and of McGrady on Social Media, both of which are published by LexisNexis.   He represents global brand owners, new gTLD registries, and “good actor” registrars, in ICANN matters.  Paul also works with clients in the adoption, prosecution, licensing, and enforcement of trademarks in the United States and throughout the world.  He is one of the two GNSO Councilors for the Intellectual Property Constituency of ICANN, is Vice-chair of INTA’s Internet Committee, is former counsel and a current Fellow of the Brand Registry Group, and is a veteran of over 20 ICANN Meetings. From 2011-2014, Paul  has been recognized in the World Trademark Review’s “WTR 1000” as a world leading trademark individual for contentious & non-contentious matters and has been nationally ranked for new gTLD matters by the WTR for 2013 and 2014.
