Question:
It's one thing that ICANN steers away from prescribing privacy policies, how much will ICANN comply/cooperate with federal requirements to disclose? It would be reassuring if the future person-in-charge understands the complex privacy issues beyond the position of non-involvement.

I agree that privacy issues are complex, and especially so in the Internet environment. One only need kibbitz on the debate about patient medical records to see that. As for complying with federal requirements for disclosure, I'm not sure what specifically you're referring to, but ICANN could hardly refuse to comply with a federal requirement (unless, perhaps, it could claim to be an international organization beyond the jurisdiction of any national government).
