My priorities would be to evaluate some of the decisions of the past cause of the missing user legitimation like the UDRP area and put them on a user legitimated base. While other areas like the DNSO name council, independency from the USG, a more balanced diversity on new TLDīs will need attention, the whole way ICANN works must be changed to become real user legitimated.
So, supporting transparency and user- participation possibilities in ICANN must be organized as well as local, regional and or continental user forums.
I think it is very important to organize people outside of ICANN to help this institution to find itīs way to become legitimated by users and not by USG.

I fully agree that ICANN should be kept small and deal with technical matters. You have put your finger on the right remit. You are also right that ICANN Board directors and constituents have to keep the questions flowing.

The most important tasks for the next years will be to review the existing At-Large Membership procedures, their duties and the best way for a democratic legitimating of ICANN. Therefore ICANN has already initiated to work out a paper. The awareness and outreach activities have to be continued. The next important task will be to end the MOU between ICANN and the USG. The Agreement, which was extended for one more year, has to be finished next year. Therefore ICANN has to accomplish its duties successfully. Beside this, ICANN will introduce new TLDs and a multilingual DNS (if recommended).

Good question!
The concept and structure of the At Large Membership will be a key issue on the agenda. It is the At Large Directors' job to ensure that the missing 4 At Large Directors will be elected as quickly as possible. Open questions pertain to the budget for ALM elections (as yet, there is none!) and to the At Large Membership's future role within ICANN.
The review of the DNSO is another organizational item. The constituency structure has been criticized first for over-representing Intellectual Property interests and under-representing individual domain name holders, second for polarizing the opinions among various stakeholders. As things stand, the DNSO needs restructuring.
The future of the DNS is another very important issue. This concerns the number and types of new TLDs, adequate application procedures, the control of the root zone file and not least the UDRP. In my view, the UDRP needs also review.

On the agenda, important issues should be:
- encouraging an active participation in the debate of the membership trough its self-organization,
- transfer of the root server,
- address the issue of funding.
