Question: (Korea internet forum)Do you have any idea about where ICANN's operating capital should come from?

This question addresses a crucial element of ICANN. It is perhaps the most important issue for ICANN and is also in its nature most difficult to answer. At first, I should say I am up-to-date a candidate but not an auditor so that I can not know the real financial inside of ICANN. Being a professor of a college of commerce, I must say, as a non-profit organisation, the operating capital and assets of ICANN must be legal and must be regulated under the corresponding laws and its bylaw. It is obviously that the primary source of capital of such an organisation like ICANN could come from sponsorship or in form of foundation. The rest volume from its operation or services may accumulate capital but this shall be calculated and audited by financial auditors and officers. Hence, I think ICANN needs good financial experts to keep it financially operable and optimal.
