Question: What is your clear position on the Napster case ?

As you probably know, your question has nothing to do with ICANN and its tasks. If you ask me as a netizen, however, I'd say that Napster is a great new distribution service. To me, Napster & Gnutella are yet another proof of the Net's anarchic innovative energy. To add another point, Napster & Gnutella along with the legal conflicts on digital sampling show that copyright law is not up to the changes brought about by digital technologies. Btw, most of the copyrights in the world-wide music business are controlled by just 5 corporations.

I don't think it is in the scope of ICANN.

The Napster case as I know it, is about CONTENT and his not within the scope of ICANN. I have only read in the press about this, therefore my opinion is not based of facts. I chose no to discuss it here.
