“Introduction to ICANN Reviews: Keeping ICANN Accountable” Are you interested in learning how you can provide input into ICANN’s decision-making process in order to make sure it stays accountable to the global community? Organizational Reviews (GNSO Review, At-Large Review, etc.) and Specific Reviews (CCT Review, SSR Review, ATRT Review, and RDS/WHOIS Review) are mandated by the new Bylaws. These Reviews provide a crucial tool to help the organization meet its commitments and be held accountable to the global community. Join us to learn about ICANN Reviews and how you can get involved. This session will introduce ICANN Reviews, share why they are important and how community members can participate. Come learn how community members are exploring key issues to make recommendations to improve areas such as: • How ICANN’s Accountability and Transparency mechanisms ensure that its decision-making is reflective of the public interest; • How WHOIS/RDS Policy balances data privacy and the needs of law enforcement; • How the new gTLD program facilitates Competition, Consumer Trust and Consumer Choice; and • The Security, Stability and Resiliency of the Domain Name System.
