Lauren Allison

Development and Public Responsibility Program Manager

Lauren is currently based in the Los Angeles hub office where her role is to serve as a support to the VP for Development and Public Responsibility at ICANN in operations of the Development and Public Responsibility Department (DPRD) in the four initial focus areas of: Education; Next Generation and Fellowship Projects; Language and Localization services; and Participation in Global Internet Cooperation and Development.

Originally from Northern Ireland, Lauren comes to ICANN with several years of political and international relations experience, and most recently held a research position at the USC Annenberg Center on Communication Leadership and Policy. In the U.K., Lauren’s work included speech writing, research, and constituency development in the Northern Ireland Assembly for MLA’s Anna Lo and Chris Lyttle.

Previous to her role at ICANN, Lauren was a UK Fulbright Postgraduate scholar at the University of Southern California where she obtained a Master of Public Diplomacy from the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, supported by the U.S.-U.K. Fulbright Commission and an International Peace Scholarship from the Philanthropic Education Organization Scholarship Fund. She holds a Master of Arts (Honours) in International Relations from The University of St Andrews, Scotland in conjunction with L’Institut des Études Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po), and is a former student of the Centre for Comparative Conflict Studies at Singidunum University, Belgrade.
