What It Is | This is a meeting between the Members of the At-Large Advisory Committee (“ALAC”), the Structural Improvements Committee (“SIC”) and the Board Governance Committee (“BGC”).
Why It's Important | Following the August 2009 Board decision for the At-Large community to appoint one voting ICANN Board member, the ALAC prepared a White Paper on the At-Large Board Member Selection Process. This will be the first opportunity for At-Large to discuss the White Paper with the SIC and the Board Governance Committee and next steps. Additionally, with the approval of the recommendations of the At-Large Review Working Group’s final report, this will be an opportunity for members of At-Large, the SIC, and the Board Governance Committee to discuss the progress of the ALAC Improvements.

What It Is | A meeting of the GAC and the ICANN Board
Why It's Important | To provide an opportunity for dialogue on areas of common interest
Who Should Attend | Members of the GAC and ICANN Board. The meeting is open to others to, but may not participate in the discussion
What It Is | This is the public presentation of the final reports of: the Board review WG, the NomCom finalization review WG and the SSAC review WG.
Why It's Important | The draft versions of these reports were presented at the Seoul meeting (October 2009). All comments received during the presentations and subsequent public comment sessions were taken into account by the review WGs when finalizing their reports. The final reports have now been forwarded to the Board Structural Improvements Committee with a view to issuing recommendations to the Board on implementation activities. This workshop represents a last opportunity for interested parties to offer comments which have not been submitted during previous public consultation phases.

Why It's Important | It is an opportunity for the community to provide
engage in a dialogue to the Committee on its proposed programme of work
for increasing the ability of concerned stakeholders to engage in the
work of ICANN.
Who Should Attend | Anyone interested in participating in the ICANN process.
Background Information for this Session
The Board's Public Participation Committee has a mandate to provide oversight and strategic guidance to the activities of ICANN as regards the development and administration of its public participation mechanisms. This session will allow ICANN's stakeholders to review the programme of work that the PPC proposes to undertake for the remainder of this calendar year and into the first six months of 2011. The session will focus in particular on how ICANN could more effectively involve developing world stakeholders in its work.
Joining the PPC members will be representatives of ICANN's Supporting Organisations and Advisory Committees, who will together as panellists help foster discussion with the audience, both in Nairobi and participating remotely.
What It Is | The committees of the ICANN Board meet at the face-to-face meetings and intercessionally. This session allows the community to ask questions about the work of the committees. Each committee has posted reports of their work since the last report given at the Seoul meeting. Additionally more detailed information about the committee work is available in the minutes of each committee meeting which can be found at: http://www.icann.org/en/minutes/
Why It's Important | It is an opportunity for the community to have a more detailed understanding of the work being done by the Board Committees.
