What It Is | The Noncommercial Users Constituency (NCUC) is the home for civil society organizations and individuals in the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) Generic Names Supporting Organization (GNSO). With real voting power in ICANN policy making and Board selection, it develops and supports positions that favor noncommercial communication and activity on the Internet.

Who Should Attend | Any interested Non Commercial organizations or individuals who are interested in GNSO participation through the NCSG are invited and the meeting is open to all other interested parties.
What It Is | The CSG represents the views of users and connectivity providers; Its mission is to ensure ICANN policy and ICANN contracts are consistent with the development of an Internet that is a safe place for business-to-business and business-to-consumer transactions and communications to take place based on high levels of business, user and consumer confidence.
Why It's Important | The in-person meetings held in conjunction with the ICANN meetings provide an opportunity for productive and constructive discussions on issues that involve ICANN consensus policies that relate to interoperability, technical reliability and /or stable operation of the Internet or domain name system.

What It Is | The mission of the Business Constituency is to ensure that: the Constituency fully represents the views of the Internet business user community, ICANN policy positions are consistent with the development of business via an Internet that is stable, secure and reliable while promoting consumer confidence, ICANN policy positions derive from broad stakeholder participation in a common forum for suppliers and users.
Why It's Important | Members of the Business Constituency use the Internet to conduct business related to electronic commerce in its broad sense. The Business Constituency is a constituency representing customers of other companies, who provide domain name, Internet Protocol address and related services who are typically members of the Contracted Parties House.

What It Is | The ISPs and connectivity providers Constituency are an integral part of the generic Name Supporting Organization (gNSO). The Constituency's goal is to fulfill roles and responsibilities that are created by relevant ICANN and gNSO bylaws, rules or policies as ICANN proceeds to conclude its organization activities.
Why It's Important | These responsibilities include the election of three members to the Names Council and to ensure that views of Internet Service Providers and Connectivity Providers are appropriately communicated and understood. It will be particularly attentive to the needs and concerns of such providers and balance these with the public interest. The ISPs and connectivity providers Constituency is committed to wide membership participation as well as open, transparent procedures and practices.
Who Should Attend | Anyone with a vested interest in these issues is encouraged to attend the open session of the ISPCP in Nairobi
What It Is | The proposed consumer constituency is intended to facilitate the participation of recognized consumer organizations, whose primary duty is to advocate on behalf of consumers in matters of purchasing and trading, in ICANN policy making within the GNSO.
Why It's Important | The constituency is important because consumer organizations generally have organizing capabilities, active relations with governments, and consistent, developed policymaking frameworks to assist advocacy on behalf of the general public in matters of purchase and trade.
Who Should Attend | This meeting is intended for current participants in the constituency, as well as anyone who has an interest in defining consumer issues within the ICANN sphere.
