What It Is | This is a meeting between the Members of the At-Large Advisory Committee (“ALAC”), the Structural Improvements Committee (“SIC”) and the Board Governance Committee (“BGC”).
Why It's Important | Following the August 2009 Board decision for the At-Large community to appoint one voting ICANN Board member, the ALAC prepared a White Paper on the At-Large Board Member Selection Process. This will be the first opportunity for At-Large to discuss the White Paper with the SIC and the Board Governance Committee and next steps. Additionally, with the approval of the recommendations of the At-Large Review Working Group’s final report, this will be an opportunity for members of At-Large, the SIC, and the Board Governance Committee to discuss the progress of the ALAC Improvements.

Why It's Important | The AFRALO face-to-face meetings are an important opportunity for the region to coordinate, discuss policy views and track work progress on their agenda. AFRALO will further draw a balance on their outreach efforts during the Nairobi meeting and discuss next steps to better engage the regional members.

What It Is | This is the final meeting of the At-Large Advisory Committee (“ALAC”) and the leaders of the Regional At-Large Organisations (“RALOs”) during the Nairobi meeting.
Why It's Important | The wrap-up meeting of the ALAC and the regional leaders will be used to discuss the outcomes of the Nairobi meeting, the key impact for the At-Large community and finalize the joint coordination of the following quarter’s activities. It also will be used to take stock of events outside of the At-Large community during the Nairobi meeting, and for those who agreed to attend specific events to report back.

What It Is | This is a meeting of the At-Large Advisory Committee (“ALAC”) Executive Committee.
Why It's Important | A traditional part of every ICANN meeting, this session provides a valuable opportunity for the ALAC Executive Committee to develop a plan of action incorporating the just-finished ICANN meeting for future work of the ALAC.
