RySG - DNA Registry-Registrar Operations Working Group

The DNA Registry-Registrar Operations Working Group is a voluntary working group open to all registrars and registry operators (gTLD and ccTLD) that will work together to develop a set of common practices that will serve to smooth the domain name registration process. With the introduction of many new domain name registries, the number of the registry-registrar combinations has exploded and so have the number of different business models, EPP implementations and other complications to registry-registrar interactions. The Working Group has selected two projects to develop common practices: Handling of Variable Pricing Practices, and Registration of Delayed Names. These will both be discussed. In addition, the topic of registry-registrar cooperation in rapid takedown of abusive domain names will be discussed.
