Overview: 

The Internet Engineering Task Force recently published the Registry Data Access Protocol, which will replace the (port-43) WHOIS protocol. The next step is to determine how to implement the new protocol. Contracted parties, such as registries and registrars, are invited to learn about the specifics of what must be implemented and provide feedback on the process.
