GNSO IGO-INGO Access to Curative Rights Protection Mechanisms Policy Development Process Working Group Meeting
The GNSO IGO-INGO Access to Curative Rights Protection Mechanisms Policy Development Process Working Group was chartered in June 2014 to consider whether or not existing processes such as the Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy and the Uniform Rapid Suspension procedure should be modified, or possibly a new process developed, to address the specific needs of international governmental organizations (IGOs) and international non-governmental organizations (INGOs). The Working Group is currently discussing the impact of an external legal expert’s advice on the state of international law concerning the issue of jurisdictional immunity of IGOs from national court proceedings. The Working Group is hoping to develop preliminary recommendations for public comment shortly after ICANN56. Interested community members are invited to attend this open meeting to provide feedback on the various proposals and ideas being considered.
