EWG Final Report Discussion Session
This interactive session provides the ICANN community with opportunities to drill into key features of the gTLD Registration Directory Service (RDS) proposed by the Expert Working Group (EWG) in its Final Report.
This session is being offered twice for the scheduling convenience of all members of the ICANN community who may be interested in this opportunity for deeper exploration and extended Q&A about the RDS.
Those wishing to participate in either EWG Final Report Discussion Session are encouraged to attend the EWG Overview of its Final Report for an overview of key features included in the RDS – a proposed paradigm shift replacement for today's WHOIS.
During each Discussion Session, members of the EWG will describe and illustrate several key findings detailed in their 166-page Final Report, including:
- Public and Gated Data
- Purpose-Driven Access by Accredited Users
- Validation and Accuracy
- Recommended Model
- Data Protection and Law Enforcement Access
- Secure Protected Credentials
EWG members will introduce each key finding, followed by interactive Q&A.
Join the EWG for one of these Discussion Sessions to pose your own questions, learn more about the new ideas presented in the EWG's Final Report, and help launch the analysis and dialog now needed to overcome historical deadlock and enter the next phase of this initiative to find a better answer for all.
