GNSO Review Working Party

ICANN's Bylaws require that its structures, including the GNSO, be reviewed on a five-year cycle. According to the Bylaws, the goal of the review is "to determine (i) whether that organization has a continuing purpose in the ICANN structure, and (ii) if so, whether any change in structure or operations is desirable to improve its effectiveness." Based on direction from the ICANN Board, the current GSO Review comprises of an examination of the GNSO's organizational effectiveness in accordance with the ICANN-provided objective and quantifiable criteria. This session will discuss the Review, what has taken place to date, as well as next steps.
