Hi, Dr. Ramadass, we all should think about it though we have not to answer it.

Thank you for posting this question to me. Please note that this question may not be directly related to ICANN issues and I would try to restrict my answer under the rules of this forum. As you may know, the total number of current representatives of the National People~{!/~}s Congress (NPC) of China presently in session is approximately 3,000. The number of representatives of each provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities is to be roughly determined according to its population. There are less than 100 representatives allotted for the Shanghai municipality to be elected for the NPC. My understanding is that I was elected by more than 500 representatives of the Shanghai level NPC. The major differences between NPC election and ICANN election are as follows: (i) indirect election process for NPC election and direct election process in ICANN election; and (ii) offline election for NPC election and online election for ICANN~{!/~}s. Trust my answer is satisfactory to you and responsive.
