ICANN has its own auditing policy, and I see no room for any election fraud by ICANN. As a representative of the DNSO's Names Council for more than a year, I believe that ICANN has established enough mechanisms to prevent fraud. Real time disclosure of election results to the At Large members during the voting period may give unnecessary pressure on those who are about to vote and therefore may complicate the requirement of a fair election.

Aaccording to the current election policy of ICANN, the results will not be announced until the end of voting. This shall be a standard procedure as in most elections -- interim vote totals can distort the results of the election. Votes should not be of greater or lesser importance depending on whether they are cast at the beginning or the end of the process. There will be independent observers monitoring the tallying of the results.
