To be a unifying force in the virtual world, and to be able to successfully fight for our rights, all of Asia should be seen as ONE nation. This is the only way the western and developed nations will respect us.

Yes, P.R. of China and Taiwan are one country. Nonetheless, due to certain historical reasons, they are ruled by separate governments. As stated in China and US Communique: the Chinese people of both sides of Taiwan Strait recognize only one China. The international community, including all international organizations recognize only one China. So I believe both part of China eventually will be united. As far as Internet issues are concerned, current situation should not be an obstacle for Internet community of both sides of the Taiwan Strait. As you know, PRC, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan have their own ccTLD systems and have developed their Internet businesses successfully. In my view, whether PRC and Taiwan are one country or not should not have any major impact on ICANN policies. As the name of this At Large Election denotes, we must place the interest of the Internet community as a whole on top of political considerations.

I did answer Mr. Wang already by that question on this forum and I have mail him personally telling that many ICANN experts advised me ICANN has no thing to do with this kind of traditional political problems. Nevertheless, I am willing to answer your question further with a suggestion that you should show your ID. 1. At first, I promise to serve the people of both fractions of cross-strait Chinese, in the Mainland, Taiwan as well as HongKong and Macao, if elected. That means I'd like very much to represent Chinese of both sides, if the majority of you, my friends, allow me. 2. Did I absolutely said that I admit I am Chinese ? I said, Would you please tell me, are we not Chinese ? . I am very glad that you did not say that we are not Chinese. O.K. it's very clear that the answer to this question depends on your mind (you and Mr. Wang). Why have you arose this question ? Do you think that's two countries or one ? My friends, I did not think about this. I am thinking about the new future of Chinese on the Internet. 3. According to the opinions of the political leaders of both sides, there is one China, esp. in culture and history, but the political reality need the wisdom of Chinese to develop. I would also suggest that you could read the newest book of Mr. Lee from Singapore and think about what he says. I could also suggest you to discuss with German friends about the concept of Ein Volk, zwei Staaten (but not two nations). Nevertheless, don't let the extreme nationalism and totem make our live worse. 4. You should know better about dialectic(Max and Hegelian) than I. And, we all know Ing and Yang of I-Ging. My friends, we can not force to answer many questions with definitely Yes or No, particularly when we live in a democratic world. If we do so, we might go into a new state of chaos with uncertainty and out of control ! Don't push our people into this state ! Please give me a chance to serve the Chinese of both sides of the cross-strait, HongKong and Macao. I believe then you can trust me and we can trust each other in the Chinese- living region. Thank you.
