Stay in contact with members is a prerequisite for understanding their requirements which is in turn the key to successful decision making. Communication is a crucial mechanism in the process as a whole. I can exemplify what I have prepared for stay in contact with members as following: (1) I have registered the domain name myicann.net and will keep after the election, no matter elected or not. It can be employed as a contact point between members and me. (2) I have called a team of young fellows from AAP region most of whom will stay by me for 3 years. They can serve to gather requirements from their home countries. (3) I would like to take part in the meetings of constituencies besides the board meetings. Of course, my participation should not bring inconvenience to the meetings (4) I think the Internet Civil Society could be another communication instrument besides the constituencies and supporting organization. But, the communication within these organizations should be somehow organized (5) I could visit the members face-to-face during my participation to international events. In all this context, the will is most important for staying contact with members.

There are various ways to contact the ICANN Board Members both directly and indirectly. I want to keep an open and transparent process for all ICANN members. I will keep my website open for all comments and communications to the extent allowed by the ICANN rules.
My email address is mkatoh@makatoh.net.
