I'm clearly against this kind of uses of Internet, but those are not the goals of ICANN and we have to be careful about don't make ICANN deal with more issues out of its mision.

Everyone agrees that this is an important issue and, needless to say, it is an old crime in a new medium. The tough question is whether ICANN should incorporate actions on this realm in its mission. The easy answer would be yes, we will do our best to promote actions to inhibit these and other misuses of the Internet. On the other hand, and being absolutely frank, we would be deceiving ourselves in thinking that ICANN is the appropriate body to deal with those issues, that involve citizenship, mobilization and police action. I am a firm believer that ICANN should stick to its basic mission, and concentrate on issues such as IP address allocation means and procedures, the assignment of protocol parameters, and the policies for management of DNS and root servers. It is too tempting to embrace the world and encompass all of its complexities in one's mission. Let's be focussed and do our job well.

Children exploitation is, in principle, a police matter. Concerning media
usage (Internet), this is an abhorrent practice, in which must be taken all
the legal enforcement against those who engage this kind of activity.
Those people are amoral deranged unable to live together in society.
As a citizen and a committeeto ICANN's board I'll support by all means
the struggle against minor's exploitation and other spurious activities of
the Internet.
