Delegates from the following nations are in attendance: Egypt, Canada, USA, Ireland, China, Hong Kong, East Timor, India, Jordan, Germany, Pakistan, Nigeria, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Trinidad, Korea, Malaysia, Italy, United Kingdom, Jamaica, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Spain, Cameroon, Iran, and of course, our friends from Japan!
Smartsettle post-forum debrief

It was great to have so many of our international friends visit us in Victoria at this year's ODR Forum. Smartsettle was pleased to participate; demonstrating Smartsettle Infinity with a simulation and running a Smartsettle One Competition throughout the Forum. The results from both of these events are posted as top news events on the Smartsettle Website. Stop by to see additional photos and news from the week.

Thanks again Frank for a superb job. You made us proud of Canada all over again.

Dear Mr. Fowlie
It is unfortunate that I was unable to attend as I live in Victoria and have been an ODR mediator, but I found out about the conference too late. I was particularly interested in a comment in the Victoria newspaper article by Colin Rule, director of online dispute resolution for eBay and PayPal. It would appear from the comment the ODR still existed at eBay and paypal. However, squaretrade.com which did most of the ODR for eBay was recently closed because eBay CANCELLED all ODR. As such, hundreds of people lost their jobs. Therefore, I am most anxious to be able to contact Mr. Rule to find out about how eBay will be handling ODR from now on. I am interested in any work available. I also ask that anyone reading this post that knows of ODR work possibilities, post a reply or contact me at uptonatom@telus.net I am glad I found out about your work, even if I missed the conference. I also heard that someone from Google was speaking today, the 20th, but search as I may, I could not find the time and location. Keynote speech by Dr. Cerf
Dear Mr. Boland, Dr. Cerf of Google gave his keynote address at the Forum at 3:20 pm yesterday, the 19th, at the Marriott Inner Harbour, which served as the venue for the Forum. The information is available on the Agenda on this site. It's too bad you were not able to attend -- it was a fantastic conference. However, if you look under the "Program" tab, materials from the conference are being posted on this site to make them available to those who may be interested. Stay tuned for more materials that may be posted in the near future also. Cheers, Indu Sen

Thank you for an amazing event!
It was an incredible two days - with an amazing gathering of minds. Thank you for the opportunity to attend, to learn, and to meet so many extraordinary people from all over the world. Frank, your hospitality, graciousness, good humour and ability to pull off such a feat (at the same time you were doing your "real" job, I am sure) has already become a legend in our organization.
