What it is | This is a meeting of the of the At-Large Advisory Committee (“ALAC”) and the leaders of the Regional At-Large Organisations (“RALOs”)

Why it's important | The Sunday meeting of the ALAC and the regional leaders is important as it helps the community’s leaders joint coordination of the following quarter’s activities. This meeting will address subjects such as:

  • How to amend the participation and accountability obligations of ALAC members;
  • How to help policy working groups become more active and more effective;
  • Discuss the proposals for a formal Policy Advice Development (PAD) process for bottom-up community policy development
  • How to respond to the next stages of the At-Large Review

What Is It | A meeting of the NCUC and At-Large community

Why it's important |  The changes to the GNSO that are a part of the GNSO Improvements programme bring up several issues related to the new Non-Commercial Stakeholders Group (NCSG). This is especially the case with respect to interaction between the proposed inclusion of Internet end-users and registrants and the pre-existing NCUC constituency.

What it is | This meeting is to further develop the existing rules and obligations on members of the ALAC in light of the experience of implementation of the existing rules. They were originally adopted in 2007


Why it's important | 
As the first community in ICANN to adopt formal rules for accountability and transparency as well as participation obligations on community leaders, this session and its debates may be of interest to other communities considering their own initiatives of this kind.
