What it is | This meeting is to further develop the existing rules and obligations on members of the ALAC in light of the experience of implementation of the existing rules. They were originally adopted in 2007
Why it's important | As the first community in ICANN to adopt formal rules for accountability and transparency as well as participation obligations on community leaders, this session and its debates may be of interest to other communities considering their own initiatives of this kind.

9:00 - 17:00 Sans Souci I What it is | The gTLD Registries Constituency is a constituency
within the Generic Name Supporting Organisation (GNSO) and its primary
role is to represent the interests of gTLD Registries that are
currently under contract with ICANN to provide gTLD Registry Services.
Why it's Important | The in-person meetings held in conjunction
with the ICANN meetings provide an opportunity for productive and
constructive discussions on issues that involve ICANN consensus
policies that relate to interoperability, technical reliability and/or
stable operation of the Internet or domain name system.
Who should attend? | Anyone with a vested interest in these
issues is encouraged to attend the open session of the gTLD Registries
Constituency meeting while in Cairo.

9:00 - 17:00 Al Manial What it is | The Non-Commercial Users Constituency (NCUC) is the
home for civil society organisations in ICANN's Generic Names
Supporting Organisation (GNSO).

9:00 - 17:00 Al Saraya 2-3 The members are registrars accredited by and under contract to ICANN. Registrars provide the interface between registrants and registries in getting domain names.

9:00 - 17:30 Al Hambra What it is | The Country-Code Names Supporting Organisation (ccNSO)
which helps develop global policy for country code Top-Level Domains
(ccTLDs), convenes both a members meeting and a Council meeting in
Cairo.
Why it's Important | The Council and Members will discuss a number of
issues affecting a cross-section of the world's country codes.
Additionally there will be updates on developments and best practice
from various ccTLD managers.
Who should attend? | Anyone with an interest in ccTLD issues
specifically, and the Domain Name System in general, including
registrars, registries, businesses, Internet Service Providers, Internet
users, and government representatives.

10:00 - 12:00 Al Saraya 4 This will be a members only meeting for the three commercial constituencies who will discuss internal matters related to the creation of a new commercial stakeholders group.

What it is | This is the standing meeting between members of the ICANN Board of Directors and members of the At-Large (Internet end-user) community in ICANN, which is a feature of each ICANN meeting.
Why it's important | This meeting provides an important opportunity for members of the ICANN Board to speak at length with the At-Large community and learn more about the community perspective on topical subjects under debate in ICANN.

What Is It | This meeting brings together all the
constituencies of the GNSO who are not contracted parties with ICANN
and the members of At-Large to discuss the GNSO Improvements programme.
Why it's important | With the changes to the GNSO being
implemented as a part of the Improvements programme this meeting is an
important opportunity for the non-contracted party representatives to
discuss their common interests and collaboration options.

representing customers of providers of connectivity, domain names, IP
addresses, protocols and other services related to electronic commerce
in its broad sense.
Who should attend? | Commercial users of the Internet who are
interested in meaningful competition in the domain name space and
improved enforcement by ICANN of its contract parties (registries and
registrars) with respect to
acts of bad faith facilitated by lack of enforcement.

business of operating Name Servers as a service for 3rd parties and
operate an Internet backbone network based on TCP/IP.
