C3. A general description of the applicant's business and other activities.

The DotOrg Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded with the sole purpose of administering the .org top level domain (TLD) registry. The value of the Foundation’s specific and directed purpose is that it focuses all of the Foundation’s resources on developing the .org TLD into a more reliable, trusted, productive and distinctive space on the Internet. With this singular focus, the DotOrg Foundation intends to zoom in on enhancing registry services for all .org registrants, increasing noncommercial registration within the .org TLD, creating transparent governance structures and outreach mechanisms to elicit policy input from the global noncommercial sector.
