press conference?

Is there webcasting available in the room they've moved the morning press conference to?

Press Conference Access / Question for Kieren

A few years ago, ICANN had me on its distribution list for press conference call ins. Why has this changed? Kieren, can you make sure that the "new journalists" have equal access to ICANN's press conferences? This has been troubling for some time, not just to me but also to those at ICANNWatch, DNJournal, CircleID, etc. Thank you!

Bret

Quick answer...

... I don't know. But I will find out for you.

I hope I did your comment on .xxx justice in the public forum btw. It occurred to me while reading it that I may put on different emphases on words and phrases to what you wanted.

Anyway, it sparked some interesting discussion.

Kieren

idea for Puerto Rico

You know, Kieren, your comment about being unsure about the emphasis on the words made me think about video Skype and iChat. It would have been pretty trivial for me to record that comment with my video cam and place it on a server somewhere. Then you could have played me (or whomever) live. Or, I could have sent you an MP3 file. Something to think about for Lisbon.

Excellent idea

May have to put a time limit on it or we could end up with Castro-style addresses. But I like the idea - using the technology to interact.

Are you coming to Puerto Rico? If not, let's do it (I'm sure you'll have things to say). I will experiment before time.

Kieren

thanks

I'm sure you did the comment justice. I fell asleep before we got to it so didn't get to watch in real time. But in the transcript it sounded just like I wrote it! ;-)

:-)

I'd forgotten about this sleep thing. Sounds good...
