What it is: ICANN Nominating Committee Workshop

Why it's important: The Nominating Committee is charged with filling the majority of seats on the Board of Directors, as well as nominating members to serve in leadership positions in other constituencies. Learn how the nomination process works and how you may become involved.

Who should attend: Anyone interested to learn about this unique process or is considering applying for one of the ICANN leadership positions on the Board or any of the constituent bodies.

Dear Friends,

As some of you might be aware, the 2007 NomCom is looking for individuals to fill many position in ICANN bodies, including the ICANN Board of Directors, the ALAC, the ccNSO and the GNSO.

This is a great opportunity for those who would like to get more involved in the ICANN process, and wish to provide a significant contribution to the evolution of the Internet.

Applications from the ICANN community are encouraged and will be review in strict confidentiality.

Statements of Interests will be received until May 1st.

The NomCom is responsible for the selection of all ICANN Directors except the President and those selected by ICANN's Supporting Organizations.

It is designed to function independently from the Board, the Supporting Organizations, and Advisory Committees, and will be selecting three Board directors, three ALAC members, one ccNSO member and two GNSO members this year.
