What it is: The third session will continue discussions on
the priorities of the region, conclude (if not concluded at the Second Session)
election of the regional representatives to the At Large Advisory Committee,
as well as the RALO's officers, and discuss the policy issues being discussed
within ICANN from the perspective of Individual Internet Users in the European
region.

Why it's important: This will be the third region of At-Large to formally organise itself providing it concludes discussions on the MoU with ICANN.

What it is: The meeting is for the committee members to engage in their first substantive discussions during the Lisbon meeting. The matters under discussion at this session include agreeing on a new ALS Applications handling process involving the new RALOs more intimately, election of a Vice-Chair of the Committee, and budgeting discussions for the upcoming FY.

Why it's important: The ICANN International Meetings are an essential part of the ALAC's working calendar.

What it is: The second session will if necessary conclude the work on the Memorandum of Understanding with ICANN for this region of At Large if any issues remain open. It is hoped that it will also be able to conclude the Bylaws of the region with ICANN. Otherwise, the participants will work to decide the priorities of the region, begin the nomination of the two regional representatives to the At Large Advisory Committee, and discuss the policy issues being discussed within ICANN from the perspective of Individual Internet Users in the European region.

It's very necessary to planify a regional and subregional meeting and to allow the local actors to be involved in debate.
It will be a good opportunity for goverment actors and private sectors to take part activelly.
