Session DetailsThis session will take participants on an engaging journey through the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) functions — from their origins in the early Internet to their pivotal role in supporting ICANN's mission and strategic direction for the future. Using a mix of storytelling, data insights, and interactive discussion, the IANA staff presenters will:
- Demystify IANA’s history and its vital role in keeping the internet stable and reliable for everyone.
- Showcase current operations and impact, including performance metrics and innovations.
- Share the next 5 year strategic roadmap that focuses on IANA's readiness to manage future internet challenges.
The session is designed to engage the ICANN community, newcomers and veterans alike, and reinforce the importance of the IANA functions in global internet stability.
By the end, attendees will not only understand IANA’s evolution but also see how their active participation in the community directly influences its ongoing success.
